Minemax Scheduler 7.8 is now available, delivering powerful new enhancements across capital expenditure modelling, operational control, haulage, usability, and reporting. These updates reinforce Datamine’s commitment to ensuring that Minemax Scheduler continues to empower users in creating practical, robust, and achievable strategic mine plans.
Capital Expenditure Modelling
Expanded Constraint Capabilities
In previous versions, capital expenditure (CAPEX) definitions were limited to expanding maximum constraints. With 7.8, CAPEX can now be applied to minimum, cumulative, difference and capacity constraints.
Applying CAPEX to cumulative constraints allows for modelling of investment-driven capacity increases, such as expanding tailings storage facilities.
Using CAPEX with minimum constraints supports modelling of scenarios requiring a guaranteed throughput following an infrastructure upgrade.
The capital associated with expanding a ROM pad can now be modelled using CAPEX with stockpile capacity constraints.
Phased Expenditure Support
Capital expenditure can now be spread over multiple user-defined periods, making it easier to model phased developments and align financial planning with practical implementation timelines.
Operational Constraints
Bench Mining Rate Limits
A new constraint enables users to limit the maximum number of benches mined per period for each pit group. This is particularly valuable for managing vertical rate of advance (VRA) across a group of pits/phases.
Period-Specific Minimum Mining
Minimum amount-if-mined constraints can now be defined on a per-period basis, adding flexibility in cases where scheduling periods vary in duration.
Haulage Enhancements
Users can now use Minemax Haulage to calculate fastest-path distances for haulage routes, improving the accuracy of haulage cost modelling, particularly in contract mining scenarios where costs are tied to distance travelled.
UI and Usability Improvements
This release also includes several user-requested features aimed at improving the user experience. For a full list of enhancements and defect fixes, see the Minemax Scheduler 7.8 Release Notes.
Upgrade Now
Minemax Scheduler 7.8 continues our commitment to delivering robust, user-friendly tools that meet the evolving needs of the mining industry. We encourage all maintained users to upgrade to take full advantage of these new features and improvements.
