| Simple Menu-Driven Interface |
- The menu bar and toolbar on the main window allow you to easily switch between forms at the click of a button as you set up your model. After setting up a description of the types of activities you wish to schedule, you are ready to start. Then you just enter activities directly into the gantt chart.
|
| Simple Attribute Definition |
- The attribute definition form gives you the ability to enter new attributes that define how to measure the schedule that you create. The simple user interface within the form makes the task of attribute creation a short one.
|
| Easy-To-Use Tree-Based Activity Group Definition |
- The activity group definition form allows you to fill in information regarding the types of activities (or processes) you wish to model together with their attributes. You can group similar types of activities together in order to allow for powerful and more flexible reporting.
|
| Add Activities Directly To The Chart |
- Once you have defined the types of activities that are contained within the model, iGantt's powerful interface will allow you to create activities with an easy to use form, and then adds them directly to the schedule chart.
|
| Easily Import External Data |
- iGantt is also able to import scheduling data from a variety of external sources. Some data formats can be automatically converted to iGantt format during load-in, while iGantt's powerful inbuilt scripting functions can allow you to import your own unique data sets.
|
| Auto-Scheduling Module |
- iGantt's Auto-Scheduling module allows you to automatically schedule activities on resources in order to maximize resource utilization. This is achieved through the auto-scheduling module's ability to intelligently select activities and activity rates according to targets or priorities.
- For underground you first use geometry-based auto-precedence generation to automatically create precedences for adjacent development strings. Secondly, you assign equipment or crews to development activities. Next, you set the maximum aggregate rate of a jumbo or development crew. Then you specify the maximum rate on a single heading. You can choose stoppable or unstoppable activities. Stoppable activities may have delays inserted as a higher priority activity becomes available during scheduling. Finally, you start the Auto-Scheduling procedure to automatically generate a balanced schedule.
- For open-cut operations the procedure is similar. You would allocate specific shovels to respective mining areas, generate precedences, and initiate auto-scheduling.
- The auto-scheduling module is ideal for medium to long term scheduling.
|
| Edit Activities On The Fly |
- To have smooth equipment utilization, or to ramp up production on a new project or expansion you can use the material movement constraints. This lets you constrain the minimum and/or maximum total material movement for any time period. If you wish to be more specific and drop down to the level of material movement from individual locations or resources, it is simply a matter of typing in minimum and/or maximum movements for individual locations in given time periods. This enables you to force scheduling from certain locations at certain times or to prevent scheduling in certain locations.
|
| Click And Drag Precedences |
- With iGantt, adding precedences to your activites is as simple as clicking and dragging. You can also add both forward and backward precedences, or add delays between the end of one activity and the beginning of the next.
|
| Self-Updating Categories |
- The activity chart is able to display certain categories of information regarding your activites, including duration and quantity values. These automatically update as you alter your activites, giving you a real-time indication of just how your changes affect your schedule upstream and downstream.
|
| Easy To Use Activity Grouping Display |
- Displaying your activities in certain groups is easy to do in iGantt. Using the view definition form, you can group your activities by multiple attributes already within the model. Click OK, and the activity chart automatically snaps into a new tree-type display according to the attributes you have chosen.
|
| Detailed Product Reports |
- Any number of reports can be defined based upon activities and attributes. These are updated automatically on-screen as scheduling occurs.
|
| Reports Easily Export to Word-processing and Spreadsheet Applications |
- Reports can be saved as CSV format for easy import into a spreadsheet application such as Excel.
|
| Scripting Language for Custom Reporting |
- iGantt has a TCL scripting interpreter built in that allows custom reporting and interfacing with other applications. Since the TCL scripting interpreter has access to the internal data structures of iGantt, the possibilities are endless for customized reporting and interfacing.
