Open Pit Scheduling
Your Situation
You have carried out a pit optimization and now have a reserve model that you wish you schedule over the long-term and short-term. If your deposit is such that an individual block is valued based upon its metal content, recovery and mining and processing costs, then you probably have already carried out a staging analysis and have a number of mineable pushbacks. Alternatively, you may just have a series of nested pits and wish to determine the pushbacks in the context of scheduling.
If your deposit is such that a block's value is based upon other blocks that it can be blended with to achieve a saleable final product with multiple grade specifications (e.g. iron ore and coal) then you may just have an ultimate pit without staging that needs to be scheduled.
Our Simple Solution
With Minemax Open Pit Scheduling technologies you just enter all the constraints associated with development, mining, material handling and processing. Practical mineability constraints such as vertical rate of advance can easily be modelled as can the maximum number of pits mined at a time. If you have nested pits, you can enter minimum lag constraints between adjacent nested pits. If necessary, you can even control the minimum and maximum amount mined of individual pits. If you wish to investigate the benefit of using in-pit stockpiles, you can easily set-up a number of stockpiles based on grade ranges. Taking these constraints and your financial information (costs and metal prices), Minemax Open Pit Scheduling technologies will help you to find a schedule that satisfies all of your constraints. It's your choice to use manual scheduling or the optimization module.
