Setting Up Planner
Importing Your Block Model
You can easily import your block model directly from Vulcan (*.bmf), Surpac (*.mdl), Datamine (*.dm), Minemax Scheduler (*.bl), 4X (*.mod;*.par) or ASCII format. With 4X, parameter information is imported as well. In all formats, parcel information can be retained to model different rock types or grade ranges.
Enter Financial Information
Once your model is imported, you simply define metal prices and mining and processing costs. Mining costs can be defined on a block by block basis. For example, blocks deeper in the pit or further from the plant cost more to mine. Processing costs can also vary for each block. Typically, processing costs are grade dependent.
Slope Modeling
Any number of slope regions can be defined. Within a region you can specify any number of bearing ranges. For each consecutive pair of bearings, a slope can be defined.
