Pit Optimization in Planner
Nested Pits
If you are not just looking for a single pit, but a series of nested pits then you can define a number of revenue adjustment parameters. These parameters are multipliers applied to metal prices. Planner will then calculate a pit for each revneue adjustment factor. These pits can subsequently be combined into practical pits for scheduling with Minemax Scheduler.
Block Precedence Generation
Based upon the slope information you provided, Minemax Planner will generate precedences between blocks. Essentially, this is information used by the optimizing algorithm to ensure that if a block is selected for mining, all other block which must be mined to access it are also selected.
Generation of Shells
After precedences have been generated you are ready to generate the nested pits. This happens automatically with the optimizing algorithm of Minemax Planner. As the shells develop incrementally, you can observe them through the 3D visualisation.
